In a distant future, the earth has fallen under the dominion of enigmatic beings referred to merely as the I.C.O. Humanity has largely forsaken the planet's surface, seeking refuge within fortress-like havens called the Craters. Amidst this deadlock of aggression, the inhabitants of the Craters have forged a singular armament to confront the menace posed by the I.C.O.: beings known as the Ferals.
